PICO OKADA
Pico Okada is a Japanese artist who earned a B.F.A. degree from Musashino Art University in Tokyo, majoring in Japanese painting.
She has held several solo exhibitions in Tokyo on the concepts of environmental issues, mass psychology and trauma that are based on her actual experience, by paintings, installations, videos and photography.
She specialises in Live Painting performance for a decade, producing large scale works in public venues in front of a live audience.
In 2016 she moved to Amsterdam and has been inspired by Dutch lean Industrial Design and structural creations that are the opposite of Japanese sense of art valuing imperfection or ambiguity.
